What I've Learned in 30 Years
I'm officially not in my 20's anymore! Aside from the countable white hair and slightly visible laugh lines, I'm here to share with you the things I've gone through.
Skipping the long intro again, haha! Let's go!
1. Actions will always speak louder than words.
2. You become strong when you realize you have no one to rely on.
3. You can't let broken promises break you.
4. Failure is not fatal.
5. You have to work like you don't need the money.
6. You'd never make it to the headlines if you live an average life.
7. "Humility is measured by how quickly you could admit that you are wrong."
8. One day, you'd realize there's no point in trying to fit in.
9. Moving on is a choice. Being stuck is a choice too.
10. Smiling is actually one of the best first moves you can do.
11. You climb mountains, not carry them!
12. You can rarely find people who would treat you like a queen when you are dressed in rags.
13. You have to create moments that you'd want to remember when you are 80 or 90.
14. Motivation is a very personal thing.
15. "You don't need everyone to love you, just a few good ones."
16. You don't have to wait for an apology before you decide to forgive.
17. The hand that makes you feel warm, safe and secured - that's the real thing!
18. The right people would try to find you the moment you disappear.
19. You shouldn't allow your mood to affect your manners.
20. Some people view life as a playground, some as a battleground.
21. You can fake a smile but you can't fake chemistry.
22. Doing nothing with the right person means everything.
23. Insecurities are easier to read than we think.
24. Hard work beats talent.
25. There are people who deserve a second chance.
26. "It's easier to do a job right than to explain why you didn't."
27. You should do more of what makes your eyes sparkle.
28. Sometimes, in the midst of reality, there would be a 5-minute fairy tale that you'd remember for the rest of your life.
29. You shouldn't be afraid of being afraid. You have to breathe through your fear.
30. You can practically measure the depth of love and friendship based on the number of your inside jokes.
Cyndy-san, I agree with each one that's on this list. But right now, I can relate to #28. I thought I found the man of my dreams, but just had a rude awakening even before I slept. You are amazing !
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! Thank you for the comment! :) I think it's good that you woke up at the right moment! There would me more 'princes' or idiots in tin foils for that matter. Keep 'em coming and then take your pick! That's it!
