Awakening the BOHO Within
Ever since I got out of college, and right after my EMO phase, I was already a self-confessed Bohemian. I kinda knew I am like this for quite some time, but I never had a chance to express it or live that kind of life. It's the only reason why I have crazy mood swings at random times. I'll be impatient and grumpy one day, and then crazy happy the next hour.
For those who don't know about us, well, we're free-spirited people who always crave for independence. It goes from simple to major decisions ; we simply want to have OUR OWN. We like living an unconventional lifestyle. We like arts and we like living simple lives. We think self-expression is way more important than wealth. We are wanderers. We hate rules.
We buy second-hand clothes from flea markets and we love chunky accessories. We're planets apart from being stiff and formal. But being Bohemian is more than just the fashion style that people normally see in magazines. It's really about the way of living. Being able to go against the normal flow is the key to living this life. Of course it could start with dressing like one. Wearing comfortable and free-flowing clothes is the start of embracing this lifestyle. Next part would be walking like one. Yeah, "Walk like a Bohemian' I should say. When you do this, I mean you have to walk and talk with confidence about what YOU believe in. You can't be a pushover. Stand firmly in what you believe in. It doesn't have to be a million dollar idea, but it's YOURS. Be proud of it. You don't have to brag about it. Actually, you have to speak from the heart. War is out of our dictionary. We talk about things that will bring people closer together. We are talented and we find our ways to let these talents out, even in the simplest ways.
We're not after fame...but more of the contribution that our 'work' can do to make this world a better place. We don't easily agree with other people's point of view but we respect them.
BREATHE. That's one thing that we always do. Before doing anything else, make sure that you are breathing. Worrying is another thing that we should scratch off our dictionary. It's impossible to give a real smile if you have worries circling around your head. Just have faith that everything will be okay.
LET GO!
LET GO!
Look people in their eyes when you're talking to them. Try to feel their aura. Get into deep and meaningful conversations as much as possible. It's one of the most wonderful things you can ever experience.
